StatCounter provides free customisable hit counters, visitor tracking, web analytics and website stats for Visual Page 2.0. You simply need to:

Sign up for a free account at StatCounter and follow the 'Install Code' wizard to generate your StatCounter code.
When prompted, make sure to choose Visual Page 2.0 as your Blog/Web Page Editor from the drop down list.
copy the StatCounter code (highlight + ctrl c)
go to view > source ( in menu bar)
paste copied code anywhere between <body> </body> tags
return to page view (view > page)
ignore all extraneous code on page. (it will not affect how the page displays in a browser)
do not edit or delete any code!
